Information & Conditions To proceed: To proceed and accept our quote to hire a Hammond organ from Bernies Music Land, please complete the “Hammond Hire Application Form” and provide the following identification: - current drivers license or passport (or other photo I.D.) - a bill confirming your current address - current credit card (we will imprint this for security). On good return of the hire instrument, we will delete your personal information. Payment: Payment is required in full, one week prior to collection or delivery of the hire instrument. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, visa, mastercard, or bank direct deposit. Delivery: A hire instrument may only be collected by the hire applicant, unless written authority of collection by another party is provided to Bernies Music Land, one week prior to the hire. Transport of a Hammond B-3 organ (or similar) must be carried out by Bernies Music Land’s preferred transporters, unless approved in writing by Bernies Music Land. Charges will apply.
Standard delivery hours are Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm. Deliveries outside these hours will incur additional charges and these charges can be advised when receiving your hire quote. Due to OHS regulations, more than 3 or 4 stairs are subject to inspection and charges will apply. Extra charges incurred for difficult access on delivery will be agreed to be paid by the hirer. Bond: A security bond will be charged on all hires. This bond will be refunded on good return of the instrument, with no internal or visible damage.
If the bond is paid by card, it will be refunded to the same card at the time of instrument return. If the bond is paid by cash or cheque, it will be returned by cheque within 5 days. Conditions: All hires are subject to availability and approval.
Due to insurance restrictions, instruments will not be hired for events held outdoors, whether undercover or not.
The hirer agrees to take maximum reasonable care of the instrument and be responsible for its use and treatment during the hire period. The hirer accepts full and total responsibility for goods on hire and all risk remains with the hirer. The hirer agrees to pay for all loss expenses and costs for damage and defects resulting from the hire. If an instrument is returned with significant scratching or wear the hirer will be advised and it is agreed that a buffing fee of $150 will be deducted from the hirer’s returnable bond. If no bond is present a fair charge will be negotiated.
