Bernies Music School
Come and experience the joy of making music at Bernies Music Land!
Bernie's Music School offers music lessons for piano, organ and keyboard six days a week. Our students range from young, or young at heart, beginners through to a more advanced level of student. It's a great environment and the teachers are encouraging and supportive. The lessons are conducted in comfortable rooms with quality pianos and organs.
Come and experience the enjoyment of playing today. Lessons are for enjoyment or advancement, and exams are optional. Students work with their teacher to choose the style of music they wish to learn. With our professional teachers being fully qualified, encouraging and fun, it is the perfect environment to take your interest in music to the next level of skill and enjoyment.
Bernies Music School welcomes students from 7 years of age and has a team of excellent, friendly, encouraging teachers to ensure your music experience.
Lessons are primarily for enjoyment. Exams are also available on request, from syllabus including; ANZCA, ABRSM, AMEB and Trinity College London. Exam details and fees are available from your teacher or from Bernies Music School office.
Fees are paid per school term, in advance of the first lesson. Private lessons starts at $29.30 per half hour lesson. First consultations can be booked for $38 per half hour. Please phone (03) 9872 5122 for enquiries.

Adult Piano Course

Always wanted to play piano? Now you can, with the Adult Piano Course.
This short course is designed for absolute beginners or for those who learnt many moons ago.
Come and try this brilliant hands-on course that will have you playing piano with two hands after just the first lesson! You will learn to read and understand music, and to play simple chords with melody lines. Great fun!
The Adult Piano Course is conducted in a small group at Bernies Music Land. Lessons are one hour a week, day and evening classes begin regularly. We can recommend you a good instrument to practice on at home from our lovely range, or special hire packages are available on good keyboards.
The classes are fun and interactive, a great way to start or re-start your musical life. Give it a go today!
Adult piano courses take place on Tuesday at 12.00am, Friday at 1.00pm and Friday at 6.30pm.

Organ Registration Course
Designed for home organ players of all levels, this enjoyable and informative course will help you achieve the sounds and performance tools that you've always wanted. Learn about families of sound, popular sound combinations and how to get the right balance. Develop your playing with tips on topics including phrasing, introductions and endings and exploring musical styles. This course will give you enthusiasm and the tools to play confidently on your organ, whether a Hammond, Roland Atelier, Johannus organ or any other model.

Piano Educators Day, January 2012
Thank you! A big thank you on behalf of all of the Bernies team to all the fantastic speakers, teachers and guests that made Piano Educators Day 2012 two successful wonderful days!
Piano Educators day is the essential day for piano teachers and professionals to gain information, inspiration and ideas for the year ahead!
This full day event included a brilliant range of guest speakers, workshops and presentations, plus exclusive mini print music trade fair. Day ticket included notes, lunch, refreshments and a showbag full of information and goodies.
Bernstein Masterclass 2012
Bernstein Masterclasses involve students playing in front of a small, encouraging audience and receiving valuable constructive assistance from professional teachers and performers. This is a fantastic performance experience for students up to 16 years of age.
Teachers, family and friends are welcome. Young students excouraged! Minimum standard grade 1. A selection of students who participate in the Bernstein Masterclass sessions will be invited to compete in the Bernstein Piano Competition on Sunday 7th October 2012 final for excellent cash prizes and trophies. This may be just the activity you have been looking for!
